Don't force it. Here's how to diagnose and rescue a stuck crown safely.
A stuck crown usually means one of four things. Diagnose before you force anything.
Reverse 1/2 turn counter-clockwise. Try threading again with zero pressure — feel for the alignment.
Wipe the crown with a damp cotton bud (water only). Often fixes within minutes.
If the crown wobbles, the stem is bent. Stop. Take it to a watchmaker.
If stuck between 9pm–3am, the keyless works are engaged. Set the watch forward 12h via the time-setting position, then operate the crown.
