Desiccant Pouches

What it does

Silica gel absorbs ambient humidity. Inside a sealed watch box, it can drop relative humidity from 70% to under 40% — the safe range for both leather and steel.

How much you need

• Small box (1–3 watches): 5g pouch.
• Medium box (5–10 watches): 20g pouch.
• Safe with 20+ watches: 50–100g.

Renewal

• Indicating silica (turns pink when saturated) is best — visible signal.
• Dry in oven at 120°C for 2 hours, or replace.
• Check every 6 months.

Where to buy

Kitchen-shop silica gel works fine. Avoid the small "do not eat" sachets — too small for storage use.
