Brand Stories
In 1967, the Doxa Sub introduced the orange dial — and the no-deco timing bezel.

When Doxa's Urs Eschle designed the Sub 300 in 1967, he made two radical choices: an orange dial (proven most visible underwater in lab tests) and a no-decompression bezel that displayed surface intervals as well as elapsed time.
Doxa partnered with Jacques Cousteau's US Divers retail chain — every Cousteau team member wore one in The Silent World sequels. Clive Cussler's fictional hero Dirk Pitt wears one in every novel.
The Sub 300 was discontinued in the 1980s and revived in 2002. The modern Sub 300T and 200T have kept the orange-dial DNA intact.
