Forged Carbon Cases

Forged carbon was developed for racing cars: chopped carbon fibre compressed under heat, every case unique. Audemars Piguet first used it on a Royal Oak Offshore in 2007.

Pros

• 1/3 the weight of titanium.
• Visually unique — no two cases identical.
• Doesn't scratch like polished metal.

Cons

• Premium pricing (~₹3L extra over steel).
• Difficult to repair if damaged.
• Not warm to touch like metal — feels plasticky to some.

Great for sports use. Polarising for dress.
