Brand Stories
In 1931, a polo player needed a watch with a flip-over case. A legend was born.

At a 1930 British army polo match in India, an officer complained to Swiss businessman César de Trey that watches kept shattering on swung mallets. De Trey took the problem to JLC. Their designer René-Alfred Chauvot patented a case that could flip over — protecting the crystal during play — on March 4, 1931.
The Reverso's caseback became a canvas: engravings, enamel miniatures, second time zones, and dual movements (Reverso Duo, 1994). Over 250 variations have been produced.
It is the only watch in production for 95+ continuous years with its original Art Deco silhouette intact.
