Brand Stories
From Amelia Earhart to the Lindbergh Hour-Angle — the cockpit watches that defined a brand.

Longines' aviation story began in 1919 when the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale named them official supplier. Charles Lindbergh wore Longines on his 1927 transatlantic flight; Amelia Earhart wore one in 1932.
Lindbergh later designed the Hour-Angle watch with Longines — a navigation tool with a rotating bezel that displayed time in degrees as well as hours. Modern reissues of the Lindbergh Hour-Angle and the Weems Second-Setting remain available.
Longines never went pilot-watch-mad like Breitling. Their heritage is genuinely historical, not marketing.
