Lume Types Compared

• Super-LumiNova — non-radioactive, needs UV charge, ~6h usable glow. Most modern Swiss.
• Lumibrite (Seiko) — proprietary cousin of LumiNova. Often brighter at the start.
• Tritium gas tubes (T100) — self-powered, no charging, ~25-year half-life. Found on Marathon, Ball, Luminox.

Picking for your wear

• Daily wear in office light: LumiNova is fine.
• Night-shift work or unlit environments: tritium.
• Diving below 20m: prefer Lumibrite-X or T100.

Colour also matters — green peaks brightest to the human eye but blue ages better visually.
