2. "Mechanical is more accurate." Even COSC chronometers manage -4/+6 sec/day. Quartz manages ±15/year.
3. "Quartz is disposable." A 9F is rated to 50 years before service.
4. "Quartz watches don't hold value." Vintage Seiko Astrons, Citizen Calibre 0100s, Bulova Accutron Spaceview — strong on the secondary market.
5. "Movements are all the same inside." Tell that to a Bulova Precisionist with eight-pulse sweep.
