Brand Stories
Killed in the US in 2004, relaunched in 2013 with Black Bay — Tudor's second life is the brand story of the era.

Hans Wilsdorf founded Tudor in 1946 as Rolex's value sister. By the 1980s it was an institutional brand. By 2004 it had been pulled from the US entirely.
Then 2010: the Heritage Chrono. 2012: the Pelagos. 2013: the Black Bay — and Tudor came back to America in 2013 with the most coveted dive watch under ₹5L.
In 2015 came the MT5612, Tudor's first in-house movement. By 2021 the Black Bay 58 was the most-recommended "first serious watch" in the hobby.
