Are Vintage Reissues Getting Old?

In 2025 alone we've seen the Omega Bullhead, the Heuer Skipper, the Tudor Black Bay 54, the Seiko 6105 reissue. The archives are running thin.

What still works

• True 1:1 recreations with modern movements (Tudor BB58).
• "Inspired by" pieces that aren't literal copies (Hamilton Intra-Matic).

What doesn't

• Endless colour-variant releases of the same base model.
• "Anniversary" editions that aren't anniversaries of anything.

The next 5 years will reward brands designing forward while the rest fight over the same 1960s catalogue.
