7 storage mistakes

1. Sunlight — UV fades dials and lume in months. Drawer storage only.
2. High humidity — over 60% RH degrades leather and seals. Silica gel.
3. Magnetic clasps on storage rolls — many "luxury" travel cases have magnetic closures.
4. Stacking watches with metal bracelets on top of leather straps.
5. No protective pillows — bracelets scratch each other.
6. Near speakers — strong magnetic fields disturb hairsprings.
7. In bathrooms — humidity, temperature swings, deodorants.

A dry drawer with silica gel, microfibre lining and individual compartments is enough. You don't need a ₹50K winder cabinet.
