Immediate checks (30 seconds)

1. Visible crystal damage? Stop wearing — particles can enter the case.
2. Hands sitting flush with the dial? Watch from the side.
3. Watch still ticking?

10-minute checks

• Set the time. Does it run for 30 minutes without stopping?
• Sweep the seconds hand. Does it skip or stall?
• Listen close — any rattling?

When to service

• Crystal chipped: immediate.
• Time runs but fast/slow by minutes: amplitude likely down. Service.
• Stops on certain positions: position-rate issue. Service.

Don't shake to "free up" anything. You'll make it worse.
