Watch Guides
A simple framework using wrist circumference, case diameter, and lug-to-lug to find your perfect fit.

The biggest mistake new buyers make is choosing a watch by diameter alone. The number that actually predicts fit is lug-to-lug — the vertical distance from the top lug to the bottom lug.
Wrap a soft tape around the widest point. Round to the nearest mm. Most men land between 16.5–19cm; most women 14–17cm.
| Wrist | Comfortable L2L |
|---|---|
| 15.0 – 16.0 cm | up to 44mm |
| 16.0 – 17.0 cm | up to 47mm |
| 17.0 – 18.5 cm | up to 50mm |
| 18.5+ cm | up to 53mm |
If the watch sits taller than 13mm, it will catch on cuffs. Dress watches should be 8–10mm; daily wearers 10–13mm; tool watches up to 15mm.
A strap that's too thin makes a watch look top-heavy. The strap should be roughly half the case diameter in width (38mm case → 20mm strap, etc.).
Get these three numbers right and the case diameter takes care of itself.
